Month One: Fashion Design

The first month of our framework focuses on fashion design and visual communication techniques, boosting your confidence and style as a designer.

Design for yourself – it's your unique expression. Enjoy creative escapism, play, and experimentation to create original, one-of-a-kind garments.

The DPL Atelier offers resources for womenswear, menswear, and childrenswear design, whether it's for yourself, your family, or friends.

Cut

Month Two: Pattern Cutting

After selecting your final design, pattern drafting becomes stress-free.

You'll master simple pattern making techniques with support for fitting adjustments and finishing touches.

Over three weeks, I provide tutorials on measuring and customising your pattern to match your envisioned design.

Each month concludes with a 'breather' week and a Designer Diagnosis Q+A session, where I address your specific questions and provide tailored 1:1 support.

Construct

Month Three: Sewing

Now, let's turn your 2D idea into 3D reality.

During a month of construction and sewing tutorials, we'll assist you in bringing your design to life. You decide whether to create a prototype mock-up (toile) or the final piece. To round off, all members showcase their achievements and support one another in a safe online environment.

Rest and relaxation come with an interval week before we repeat the cycle with a different garment style, so you can sustainably add pieces you love to your wardrobe.
